Delete your account
Last updated: 11 May 2026
Delete from inside the app (fastest)
The quickest way to delete your account is from within HeyLono:
- Open HeyLono on your phone or at app.heylono.com.
- Sign in if you are not already.
- Open Settings (the gear icon).
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete by email
If you cannot access the app — for example, you've lost your phone or forgotten your password — email us and we'll process the deletion manually.
- Send your request to
hello@heylono.com. - From the email address registered on the account, with subject "Delete my account".
- We will action it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
If you subscribed via App Store or Google Play
Cancelling a paid Premium subscription is separate from deleting your HeyLono account. To cancel billing:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → HeyLono → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → HeyLono → Cancel.
- Web: Open HeyLono, then Settings → Subscription → Manage billing.
If you want both — delete the account and stop billing — cancel the subscription first, then follow method 1 or 2.
What gets deleted
- Your user account (email, hashed password, sign-in provider links).
- Your personal profile (display name, photo, cross-club stats).
- Clubs you host that have no other host: the club, its roster, queue, match history, scheduled sessions, photos, and chat threads.
- Your guest-claim tokens and any push notification tokens registered to your devices.
What is retained, and why
Some records cannot be removed at the moment of deletion for legal or operational reasons:
- Financial records. Where you have paid for or received payment via a paid session, the booking, amount, currency and Stripe reference are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 6 years in the UK).
- Match history in other hosts' clubs. If you played in another host's club as a guest or named player, the host's match-history records may continue to exist after you delete your HeyLono account, since those records belong to the host. To have your name removed from a specific host's records, contact the host directly, or email us at hello@heylono.com and we will help facilitate the request.
- Anonymised analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying counts (e.g. "number of matches played per month") may be retained for service-improvement purposes.
- Server logs. Standard infrastructure logs containing IP addresses and access timestamps are retained for up to 30 days for security and reliability.
Players who joined as a guest (no account)
Guest players have no HeyLono account — there is nothing for HeyLono to delete on your behalf, because we never associated your name with an email or login. Your name appears only in the host's club data. To have your guest name removed from a club's queue or history, contact the host directly.
How long deletion takes
Account and personal-profile deletion is immediate from the app. Background storage cleanup (photos, chat attachments) and propagation to backups complete within 30 days. Financial records subject to the retention period above are removed when that period expires.
